The Philippine Society of Medical Oncology (PSMO) and MIMS Philippines, a widely trusted medical information platform used by health professionals, marked a significant step forward in oncology education with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on July 23, 2026, held at the B Hotel, Quezon City. The event was attended by Dr. Dennis Santos (President, PSMO), Mr. Richard Rivera (President and Country Representative, MIMS Philippines), Ms. Rowena Velasquez (Operations Manager, MIMS Philippines), Dr. Edgar Christian S. Cuaresma (Chair, Multimedia Committee, PSMO), Ms. Renz Mharie Pereyra (PSMO Secretariat), Dr. Armelo June Beluan (Senior Editor, MIMS Oncology), Mr. Keith Gabriel Martinez (Senior Manager, Project Management & Digital Marketing, MIMS Philippines), Ms. Gracia Cruz (Sales and Marketing Head, MIMS Philippines), and Joyce Lynne Viloria (Business Development Manager for Events, MIMS Philippines).

Under the MOA, both groups will collaborate on MIMS Oncology, a print magazine published once yearly by MIMS, to feature selected PSMO-approved education content, and to develop articles on priority topics identified by PSMO, aligned with the educational needs of PSMO members. The agreement also includes dedicated PSMO pages within the publication to present PSMO-related information such as news, research summaries, features, statements, initiatives, and advisories, strengthening timely and credible knowledge-sharing for the oncology community.

This collaboration reflects both organizations’ shared belief that progress in oncology depends not only on scientific advances, but also on the effective sharing of knowledge. By combining PSMO’s expertise and content approval with MIMS Oncology’s editorial and publishing capabilities, the partnership is poised to deliver educational materials that are both credible and engaging.
