Barangayan Goes to Gingoog City: Successful Cancer Awareness Caravan for Healthcare Workers
The Barangayan sa Gingoog Healthcare Worker Cancer Awareness Caravan successfully took place last August 16, 2025 at the Arturo S. Lugod Gymnasium, Gingoog City.
Doctors, barangay health workers, and cancer survivors came together to discuss cancer basics, prevention, screening, and treatment, while also addressing myths and sharing inspiring stories of hope. The event highlighted the importance of proper cancer education in empowering communities to fight cancer.
This initiative was made possible through the efforts of the Philippine Society of Medical Oncology, in cooperation with the Department of Health, LGU Gingoog City, and the Philippine College of PhysiciansβCaraga Chapter.
